What this is
A 75-minute team reset your team runs itself β no facilitator, no manager approval, no training. It's built from your team's own pulse answers, so every quest is different, and it ends with one thing: a small practice your team designs to make working together easier.
Before you set out
- The whole team, together. One room or one call β the quest is played as a group, on one shared screen.
- Your team's pulse, completed. The trail is drawn from your answers. No pulse, no map.
- 75 protected minutes. Notifications down. The trail has two built-in rest stops.
- On video calls: the screen-sharer turns sound on, and cameras help. Snacks: optional, encouraged.
Your crew
Three quick roles, chosen at the trailhead. Everyone else explores β and every voice counts.
Pathfinder
"I'll move us forward."
Drives the screen β reads instructions, taps the team's choices, keeps us walking.
Scribe
"I'll capture what we decide."
Keeps the Field Journal β the flags, clues, and the practice the team writes at the end.
Catalyst
"I'll help every voice show up."
Invites voices by name, makes space for quieter perspectives, sparks the conversation.
Explorers
"I'll bring my perspective."
Everyone else. Listen, share honestly, help the team see the full picture.
The five trail agreements
Look at the system, not the person
When something feels harder than it should, we ask what about the way we work creates it β never who's to blame.
Every voice matters
The full picture only appears when different perspectives show up. Make space. Stay curious.
Small beats perfect
We don't fix everything today. Momentum comes from small improvements we actually practice.
Focus where we have power
Some things we control, some we influence, some we navigate. Strong teams know the difference.
Our pattern can change
Whatever we discover today is a snapshot, not a label. Teams grow by what they practice.
How the trail works
- π§You'll guess before you see. Gut feel first, data second β the gap between them is where the good conversations live.
- β³You'll plant two flags β one on your team's strength, one on its growth edge. The Scribe writes them down. They come back. That's all we'll say.
- πΊοΈYou'll meet your Team Pattern. Every team has one. Yours has a name, a terrain, and a story β revealed on the trail, never spoiled here.
- β‘You'll climb a three-leg challenge, together. Every question is answered as one team. Right answers score; answer within 30 seconds and the bonus climbs with you. No grades β the score belongs to everyone.
- π₯You'll rest at two campfires. Short pauses, on purpose. No notes, no decisions β just human.
- πYou'll leave with one Momentum Practice. Small, concrete, written by your team in your team's words β plus a Momentum Card to keep.
Trail etiquette: passing is always allowed, on anything. The quiet reading moments are on purpose. Detours into real conversation are the point, not a delay β your progress saves if you need to pause.
After the quest
Practice your one small shift for the next stretch of trail. Share the Momentum Card if you're proud of it (you will be). Your next pulse shows what changed β whatever gets walked twice becomes the trail.
